Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform technical field service operations including installation, modification, testing, commissioning, and repair of High Voltage equipment
• Execute or supervise the installation and commissioning of High Voltage substation equipment
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to resolve operating problems
• Perform and document electrical field tests, including gas analysis and diagnostic testing
• Conduct inspections to determine maintenance and repair requirements
• Develop recommendations and prepare detailed written service reports and documentation
• Maintain accurate service records, logs, and test results while ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Technical certificate in an electrical or mechanical related field
• Experience in High Voltage substations and equipment field assignments
• Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and schematics
• Knowledge of operating electrical test equipment and standard computer applications
• Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate field activities with crews and customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
