Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and support systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in battery production equipment
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Conduct calibration and performance testing to meet operational specifications
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts usage, and system performance metrics
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure equipment compliance
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve technical issues
• Participate in root cause analysis to improve equipment reliability

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or certification in a technical field (e.g., Electrical or Electronic) or equivalent experience
• Local electrical license or ability to attain one
• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical equipment maintenance or field service
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and software systems
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical documentation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment
• Willingness to travel extensively locally and occasionally nationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree
• Experience in battery or advanced manufacturing industries
• Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
• OSHA or related safety certification
