Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment on railway vehicles at domestic and international customer sites
• Perform installation, calibration, and testing of track inspection systems on railway vehicles
• Assemble, test, debug, and repair electronic circuit boards, cables, sensor assemblies, and computer equipment
• Support design engineers in the assembly, test, and debug of new products
• Conduct data analysis to troubleshoot electro-mechanical data acquisition systems
• Install and configure application software, operating systems, and network systems (LAN/Wi-Fi)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Technical experience in servicing complex, automated, industrial, or transportation-related systems
• Experience troubleshooting software-electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and function generators
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%
• Physical ability to climb 15-foot ladders, work in tight spaces, and lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and in inclement weather as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in railroad testing or inspections
• Experience with optical and inertial sensors
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment
