Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Commission and repair low and medium voltage electrical heaters
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of electrical heating systems
• Advise customers on replacement products and solutions
• Sell service management contracts and collaborate with sales to identify new business
• Maintain detailed records of service activities and customer interactions
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
• Perform design upgrades on obsolete equipment
• Execute PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting

Requirements

• BTEC National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of field service engineering experience, preferably with electrical process heaters and control systems
• Strong technical knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical systems
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel internationally (>85% travel expected)
• Sales experience with the ability to identify customer needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electrical process heating and switchgear
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming across multiple systems
• Knowledge of the Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS) market
• Fluency in multiple languages
