Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues to minimize system downtime
• Provide technical support for BD Rowa, Pyxis, and infusion pump capital equipment
• Perform field repairs, preventative maintenance, system testing, and electrical safety checks
• Support equipment installations, commissioning, and customer handovers
• Plan and schedule preventative maintenance visits and breakdown responses
• Maintain accurate and compliant service records and documentation
• Conduct workflow and system reviews to support technical sales and implementation

Requirements

• Background in mechatronics, electro-mechanical systems, electronics, or automation
• Experience servicing complex systems such as robotics, automation, or lab instruments
• Strong diagnostic skills covering hardware, electromechanical, and software/network issues
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
• Experience working with server-based systems and remote diagnostics
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage customer expectations
• Ability to work autonomously and travel across Cairns and North QLD
• Restricted Electrical Licence preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Electronics/computing trade qualification, engineering diploma, or degree
• Willingness to obtain a Restricted Electrical Licence
