Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide field-based and remote technical support to customers for Flow Cytometry instrumentation.
• Perform preventative maintenance, installation, relocation, repairs, and corrective field change orders.
• Diagnose electrical, fluidic, mechanical, hardware, software, and laser failures using established procedures.
• Determine cost-effective repair solutions to ensure minimum customer downtime.
• Perform instrument certifications (IQ/OQ).
• Manage car stock, ensuring all necessary spare parts and tools are available.
• Manage technical escalations and work toward defined service metrics.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or extensive relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer.
• Full US driving license.
• Ability to live within a daily commutable distance of Downtown Atlanta, GA.
• Strong IT knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a standing position for prolonged periods.
• Availability for evening, holiday, and weekend work as job duties demand.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Flow Cytometry instruments (Clinical or Research Cell Analyzers).
• Experience working in the Telecoms, Robotics, Automation, or Medical Devices industries.
• Ability to process knowledge across multi-modular and diverse product ranges.
