Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites
• Troubleshoot complex equipment and process issues under the guidance of senior engineers
• Deliver customer-focused technical support while maintaining a strong safety mindset
• Work within cleanroom environments following strict safety and quality standards
• Assist in identifying and contributing to continuous improvement efforts for tool performance and uptime
• Participate in customer escalations alongside experienced team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electromechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field)
• Willingness to relocate to Hillsboro, OR for a 24-month structured on-the-job training program
• Ability to read and interpret electronic and electromechanical schematics
• Hands-on technical experience through internships, co-ops, lab research, or senior design projects
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to semiconductor processes, wafer fabs, robotics, vacuum systems, or plasma
• Experience writing technical documentation
• Familiarity with customer-facing or support roles
• Interest in statistical methods, data analysis, or structured problem-solving
