About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical training, support, and specialized repair services for ARC equipment and systems across North America.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training curricula, including both in-person and online programs, for the authorized repair network.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues to determine root causes and develop effective service strategies.
- Create technical documentation, including service and repair guides, manuals, and procedures.
- Manage the technical training budget and oversee spare parts orders, stocking requirements, and logistics.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on customer-owned machines and provide on-site support for installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of service issues, repairs, and parts used to identify trends and develop best practices.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electronic engineering technology or 2-3 years of related experience.
- Exposure to high-voltage systems (240V, 460V, and 575V three-phase voltages).
- Strong electrical and mechanical background with hands-on experience repairing welding and cutting equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel approximately 60%.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and customer interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of high-power converters.
- Experience with structured training methodologies and learning management platforms.
- Prior experience working with ESAB equipment.
