Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Conduct comprehensive plant audits to identify efficiency gaps and recommend spare/wear parts.
• Drive aftermarket business growth by identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades and service agreements.
• Support capital equipment sales through the development of process flow sheets and technical layouts.
• Assist with the installation, start-up, and commissioning of feed mill equipment and plants.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
• Travel extensively (up to 70%) across the Africa region, including remote locations.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Process, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in feed milling (specifically pelleting or extrusion) field services or operations.
• Several years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and process optimization.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
• Willingness to travel up to 70% across Africa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional process skills gained from the feed or process industry.
• Proficiency in other African languages such as Afrikaans, Swahili, Arabic, or French.
• Experience with ANDRITZ IT and IoT tools.
