Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain Alfa Laval equipment on-board vessels and at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
• Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance
• Train customers on the proper use and operation of equipment
• Collaborate with the sales team regarding service upgrades
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure strict adherence to safety compliance

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 2–3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, or technical support
• Strong mechanical knowledge, with an understanding of electrical or automation systems
• Experience with rotating equipment, heat transfer systems, or industrial machinery
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
• Valid Category B driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-speed separators, ballast water treatment systems, or plate heat exchangers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
