Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle availability by solving mechanical, electrical, and electronic technical problems
• Perform rapid and careful error diagnosis using diagnostic software and multiplex systems
• Execute repairs and preventive maintenance according to documented plans and standards
• Inspect, repair, and commission electrical and vehicle systems including HV/NV systems, lighting, door controls, and climate technology
• Coordinate and supervise defect rectification when other technicians are involved
• Conduct training for customer employees as required
• Manage administrative tasks including warranty claims, parts ordering, and time tracking

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a Mechatronics Technician, Automotive Mechatronics Technician, or Vehicle Electrician
• Proven experience in repair and maintenance of bodywork, electrics, electronics, and mechanics
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrics, including reading circuit diagrams and repairing wiring/control units
• Proficiency in electrical diagnosis and multiplex systems (CAN-Bus, LIN-Bus)
• IT affinity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Very good German language skills (mandatory)
• Systematic, clean, and independent working style
• Valid driver's license (Class C/CE is an advantage)

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional qualification in vehicle electrical/electronic systems
• Experience with High Voltage (HV) systems or willingness to qualify as a high-voltage specialist
• Good English language skills
