About the role

Responsibilities

  • Triage technical issues with direction from Dell support teams
  • Execute plans of action provided by Domain Engineers or L3 support via Teams, email, and phone
  • Document all results, logs, and service reports, including part numbers and replacement details
  • Perform hardware tasks including reseating parts, swapping or replacing components, and upgrading firmware
  • Conduct server testing and validation by running diagnostics and capturing/uploading logs

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience delivering technical Field Services for hardware and software at client sites
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to report to all levels of an organization
  • Experience working with networking, fiber, and large-scale asset deployments
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs waist high to replace components on server stacks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dell EMC Proven Professional Specialist Level certifications (CPSD or PowerEdge Server)
  • CompTIA certifications such as Tech+, A+, Security+, or Network+
  • Networking certifications such as CCNA or equivalent
