About the role

Responsibilities

  • Commission HV Generators, Motors, Synchronous condensers, Power management systems (PMS), Electrical protection systems, Excitation Controllers (AVRs), and Synchronising equipment
  • Conduct upgrades to AVRS, PMS systems, Synchronisers, Protection relays, and other control elements
  • Perform electrical testing on high and low voltage equipment and machine windings in the field
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments for client sites
  • Deliver training on Brush Power Gen products to clients and field service colleagues
  • Assist mechanical service engineers on assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Accredited Electrical or Controls qualification or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of networking systems such as Modbus, Ethernet, 61850, or Fibre
  • Strong knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices and procedures
  • Physical fitness for offshore and overseas work, including ability to pass required medical examinations
  • Ability to undertake extensive overseas and offshore assignments
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • High level of knowledge in electrical power generation and distribution systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience dealing with external stakeholders on-site
  • Ability to operate remotely on own initiative
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
