Field Sampler

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from client sites in accordance with specific requirements and approved methodologies
• Perform on-site field analyses and maintain high-quality sampling protocols
• Ensure all sampling equipment and vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and properly calibrated
• Manage client relations, including scheduling and maintaining sampling times
• Prioritize samples upon arrival at the laboratory and assist with sorting and delivery
• Perform data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Prepare sample bottles and maintain equipment used for conducting analyses

Requirements

• Relevant experience working within the environmental industry
• Valid driver's license with the ability to drive automatic vehicles confidently
• Ability to swim and confidence working around water
• Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and oral)
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various outdoor weather conditions
• Ability to spend long periods driving

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the operation of small water supplies and treatment plants
