Field Robotics Engineer

Flink Robotics is a fast-paced startup backed by world-class VCs, originating from the Computational Robotics Lab at ETH Zurich. We’re building the next generation of plug-and-play robots, powered by a novel approach to make robots autonomous. Our robots are designed to revolutionize material handling, from stacking boxes to sorting parcels and unloading goods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure and test robots in the lab and at customer sites
• Own the planning, coordination and execution of on-site installations
• Run autonomy stack and tune perception and motion modules in production environments
• Train operators and provide hands-on support during ramp-up
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues remotely and on-site
• Represent Flink at customer demos, pilots, trade shows and industry events
• Record field data and transfer lessons learnt to engineering teams

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in mechatronics, sensors, networking and basic control principles
• Strong track record in commissioning complex electromechanical or robotic systems in the field
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
• Willingness to travel to production sites up to 60%
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across technical and operational levels
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior robot deployments
• Proficiency in German
• Driver's license
• Familiarity with Linux
