About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a territory of small to medium-sized public sector contractors requiring surety bonds
- Prospect qualified contractors via telephone, schedule appointments, and present contract surety services
- Review prospect financial strength to qualify for bonding programs
- Gain agreement on program benefits and close new business
- Travel throughout the assigned territory using personal vehicle with expense reimbursement
- Complete paid training at the corporate office in Woodcliff Lake, NJ
Requirements
- Entrepreneurial mindset with self-motivation and organization
- Proven selling skills and confident presentation abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and energetic telephone presence
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles (preferred)
- Construction industry knowledge (preferred)
