About the role

Responsibilities

  • Secure clinical field placements for up to sixty CPT-funded Mental Health Counseling students
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with qualified clinical field placement sites
  • Coordinate student interviews and confirm successful placement matches
  • Ensure all student and site supervisor documentation is completed and submitted via Blackboard
  • Monitor student placements, site engagement, and completion of required evaluations and time logs
  • Verify that all placements comply with programmatic, licensure, accreditation, and CPT funding requirements
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate and support placement settings
  • Provide regular placement data and reports to support grant compliance and reporting

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated experience working with counseling students in practicum or internship settings
  • Knowledge of licensure, accreditation (e.g., CACREP), and clinical training requirements
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Blackboard or similar documentation and tracking platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple placements and timelines simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with field placement coordination in counseling or related disciplines
  • Experience developing partnerships with community agencies, schools, or clinical settings
  • Familiarity with grant-funded programs and reporting requirements
  • Experience conducting site visits and evaluating placement settings
