Field Operations Training Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage two Training Coordinators to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks
• Supervise the design and development of emergency field operations training programs and associated materials
• Coordinate with contractors to develop new training materials
• Oversee the coordination and delivery of training programs
• Work closely with emergency field operations planners and external stakeholders to ensure training program compliance
• Supervise the development and implementation of a training program evaluation framework
• Oversee the monitoring of employee performance and compliance to training programs
• Serve as lead facilitator for all trainings and spearhead facilitator recruitment, onboarding and engagement
• Assist in the development and implementation of a facilitator evaluation program
• Serve in an emergency role for a public health emergency, as needed
• Participate in Bureau-led emergency drills and exercises

Requirements

• Master’s degree in emergency management, public health, disaster management, or related field plus 1 year of professional experience
• OR Baccalaureate degree plus 2 years of professional experience in emergency preparedness, public safety, or related areas
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 1 year of professional experience
• Experience in emergency preparedness planning, management, or public health

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-4 years of training experience or instructional design
• 1-2 years of experience in emergency management
• Proficiency with Articulate360 and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Strong presentation and group facilitation abilities
