About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of field activities and monitor technical progress of national partners to ensure alignment with work plans
  • Coordinate among ICARDA teams to ensure seamless execution of activities and avoid duplication of efforts
  • Act as a central liaison between the Finance Department and national partners regarding financial matters and resource allocation
  • Support technical teams with logistical arrangements, including procurement, field event organization, and capacity-building sessions
  • Manage field cash advances, ensuring all expenditures comply with organizational financial policies and documentation requirements
  • Assist in developing operational roadmaps and strategic overviews of ongoing activities in collaboration with the Country Coordinator

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, agricultural engineering, irrigation, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural research and practices within Egypt
  • Proven knowledge of on-farm water management, crop management, pest control, and soil health
  • Ability to travel extensively within Egypt
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and oral)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills to work within multi-disciplinary teams
