Field Mechanic - Airframe Structures Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft to ensure airworthy condition
• Perform maintenance and repair on large helicopters, airframes, and components
• Ensure all log books and forms are accurate and meet FAA and CHI standards
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance discrepancies or safety concerns
• Provide on-the-job training to other employees
• Perform maintenance on ground support equipment
• Travel with assigned aircraft and crew to various North American or overseas locations
• Execute work in accordance with company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)

Requirements

• FAA Airframe License
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 5 years of structural repair experience
• Proficiency with aircraft structural repair manuals and reading structural drawings/prints
• Knowledge of FAR part 135 maintenance program requirements (CAMP)
• Familiarity with FAR part 43 Major/Minor determination repair criteria
• Proficiency with structural repair tools including rivet guns, drills, and sheet metal brakes
• Ability to meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. Person
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on BV 107-II and/or BV 234 type aircraft
• Ability to receive DOT certification
