About the role
Responsibilities
- Own Parallel's field presence by building and running a comprehensive event engine, including conferences, hackathons, meetups, and executive dinners.
- Manage the entire event lifecycle, including budget ownership, target list creation, and end-to-end logistics.
- Partner closely with the sales team to build target lists before events and execute rigorous follow-up motions to ensure pipeline conversion.
- Drive measurable business impact by focusing on meetings and pipeline generation rather than simple badge scans.
- Strategically decide which events to invest in and which formats to discontinue based on conversion data.
Requirements
- Proven experience running a multi-format event portfolio at a company selling to technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics end-to-end as a solo contributor.
- Experience with sales handoff processes and tracking event-driven pipeline.
- Deep understanding of how to engage AI engineers and technical buyers through high-value programming.
