Field Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• New installation, retrofit and repair pressure, temperature, differential transmitters, and general process instrumentation
• Calibration of field instruments such as level, pressure, and temperature transmitters
• Troubleshoot process control equipment, including motor operated valves, field measurement instruments, and final control devices
• Perform MOV diagnostics
• Take field measurements for design of retrofit of MOV mounting hardware
• Design mounting brackets and couplings to connect valves and MOVs
• Interact with customers to promote service contracts
• Conduct customer trainings and assist with problem resolution
• Assist with shop assembly needs as time permits

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a field service technician or instrumentation technician
• Working knowledge of process controls and instrumentation
• Strong electrical knowledge including ability to read wiring diagrams (single phase, three phase, AC and DC)
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems
• Strong knowledge in the calibration of field instruments
• Strong knowledge of valve actuators including Electric, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic actuators
