Field Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate, impartial, and complete home and commercial property inspections
• Access and inspect steep and/or high roofs using ladders and safety equipment
• Sketch and measure roof and room components; scope inspection areas
• Document inspections via proprietary smartphone application
• Travel to catastrophe-affected areas for assignments averaging 2–6 weeks as needed
• Cover a 100-mile radius around your home market and accept short-notice assignments

Requirements

• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of safely transporting a 32-foot ladder
• Operational laptop and smartphone with data-entry and Microsoft Office skills
• Valid driver’s license and professional appearance
• State-issued workers’ compensation and certificate of general liability insurance
• LLC Articles or Certificate of Organization
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 100 pounds
• Willingness to earn HAAG Certification within 90 days
• Ability to travel during catastrophic events and submit complete reports on time

Preferred Qualifications

• Roofing sales or construction experience
• Property insurance experience
• Existing HAAG Certification
• Ability to use a 40-foot ladder
