About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR questions, issues, and concerns.
  • Manage various HR functions including employee changes, special pays, leave requests, and separations.
  • Plan and conduct new hire and transfer orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including evaluations, feedback, and development plans.
  • Manage staffing plans throughout project phases to ensure adequate personnel levels.
  • Partner with operations to determine training needs and maintain a project-wide training calendar.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork, I-9 documentation, and project-required documentation is accurately completed and maintained.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to Visio or data tracking dashboards.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and sound business acumen.
  • Ability to work on-site at project locations and potentially relocate for future growth opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or HR Generalist.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
