About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR questions, issues, and concerns.
- Manage various HR functions including employee changes, special pays, leave requests, and separations.
- Plan and conduct new hire and transfer orientation and onboarding processes.
- Oversee the performance management process, including evaluations, feedback, and development plans.
- Manage staffing plans throughout project phases to ensure adequate personnel levels.
- Partner with operations to determine training needs and maintain a project-wide training calendar.
- Ensure all new hire paperwork, I-9 documentation, and project-required documentation is accurately completed and maintained.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to Visio or data tracking dashboards.
- Experience with HRIS systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and sound business acumen.
- Ability to work on-site at project locations and potentially relocate for future growth opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or HR Generalist.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
