Field HR Specialist

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR contact for craft and staff employees on-site
• Manage the full craft employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
• Mitigate people risk by addressing performance issues, investigations, complaints, and coaching
• Support project leadership through various HR cycles such as wage reviews, talent reviews, and succession planning
• Execute workforce planning, including peak hiring and staff shedding
• Manage on-site compliance, labor relations, and project-specific requirements
• Support leadership during crisis management, including workplace injuries
• Promote employee wellness programs and engage with the workforce to drive retention

Requirements

• 3-6 years of professional HR experience
• Strong knowledge of benefits, employment law, and compensation practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with a diverse group of individuals
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced construction environment
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources or a related field
• Familiarity with HRIS systems
