Essel Environmental provides On-Demand Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery Project Personnel throughout the United States. Essel's FlexTeks are versatile technicians who respond to natural and man-made disasters to help communities recover.

Responsibilities

• Perform hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, and equipment decontamination
• Handle hazardous materials and perform emergency response for chemical and water spills
• Operate light and heavy equipment including pumps, vacuums, oil spill booms, generators, and bobcats
• Utilize hand-tools, absorbent booms, and pads to contain and remediate impacted surfaces, soils, and waters
• Manage etiological and biological contamination and tank cleaning

Requirements

• 40 hour Hazwoper Certificate
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to perform labor intensive activities in any weather or environmental conditions
• Ability to perform duties while wearing PPE, such as respirators and protective clothing
• Willingness to travel and work on an on-call/project basis, including long hours and nights

Preferred Qualifications

• Confined space entry, OSHA 30, and/or TWIC certifications
• Chemical, oil, or confined space experience
• Special skills in Tank Cleaning, Decontamination, or Asbestos Certification
• Safety or Supervisor experience
