Field Environmental Monitor

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) to document site compliance with state and federal environmental laws.
• Collect, record, and manage corrective actions and site inspections for multiple construction sites.
• Coordinate with project teams and construction site managers to prevent and resolve compliance issues.
• Comply with industry standard and client-specific safety requirements and apply situational awareness to mitigate in-field risks.
• Travel across a coverage region, including potential overnight stays and weekend inspections.
• Navigate construction sites on foot, performing walking surveys over varying ground conditions and in diverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience conducting inspections and preparing reports for stormwater, environmental compliance, or construction quality control.
• Proficiency with inspection documentation tools such as tablets and mobile applications.
• Competency in using GPS and mapping technology to document site conditions.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal vehicle ownership for work use.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Ability to work weekends and exceed 40 hours per week during peak periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with construction site erosion and sediment control best management practices.
• Experience working in the Madison, Green Bay, or Milwaukee areas.
