Field Engineering Technician III

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain 3D printers and related systems with minimal supervision
• Connect and disconnect electrical, pneumatic, and network cabling
• Resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues independently
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and performance monitoring
• Analyze printer data to proactively address potential issues
• Lead coordination of complex tasks ensuring safety and compliance
• Document troubleshooting, repairs, and shift handoffs in the ticketing system
• Train and mentor Field Engineering Technician I employees
• Travel outside of Miami, FL, for multiple weeks at a time

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineering Technician I or equivalent
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and terminate cables (e.g., camlock power, EtherCAT)
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• OSHA 10, CPR, and heavy equipment certifications
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments and various weather conditions
• Willingness to travel extensively, including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of PLCs and VFDs
• Experience in remote device operation and system navigation
• Proficiency in various types of welding
• Experience refining best practices and team workflows
