Field Engineer (Welding NDT)

Responsibilities

• Perform surveillance to ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with the Contractor’s Work Information
• Check that works are constructed according to contract specifications and notify the Construction Superintendent of non-conformance requirements
• Proactively communicate with site teams to ensure surveillance is timely and accurately reported
• Identify potential quality issues before they arise to enable effective mitigating actions
• Contribute surveillance information to support KPI indicators and maintain accurate, concise technical diaries
• Support the implementation of Nuclear Safety Culture across all project processes and activities

Requirements

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Welding, or equivalent vocational training
• Working knowledge of relevant British and European standards, including RCC-M, BS EN, and ASME
• Proven experience writing accurate and concise technical diaries relevant to specific contract forms
• Experience working within the Engineering Construction industry and large construction teams
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality standards in high-pressure environments
• Excellent organizational, delegation, and communication skills
