Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead job-site health and safety initiatives, including participating in safety reviews and preparing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s).
• Assist in the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and basic engineering calculations to support field operations.
• Assist in field surveying, work layout support, and the compilation of as-built data.
• Manage project administration tasks including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and maintaining project recordkeeping.
• Coordinate work groups, order material deliveries, and supervise subcontractor operations on-site.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and cost reporting in coordination with the Project Manager.

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of construction field experience.
• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in engineering and leading other engineers.
• Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed to meet project demands.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in various climates and environments.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
