Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain hardware, software, and telecommunications infrastructure for networks.
• Support and maintain access control and entry hardware at venues and box offices.
• Provide on-site technical support for permanent and temporary venues, including weekend event coverage.
• Coordinate equipment logistics, including bump in/out processes and courier management.
• Manage end-of-day box office reconciliation and provide technical escalation for ticketing issues.
• Conduct on-the-job training for casual staff, volunteers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain an up-to-date asset register and update event services documentation.
• Log detailed reports of bugs and technical issues for the technology department.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in an IT field or equivalent professional IT experience.
• Strong working knowledge of networking principles and techniques.
• Practical experience in the repair and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Current driver's licence is essential.
• Availability to work on weekends and on a rotating roster.
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads, and manage client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Passion for the live entertainment and ticketing industry.
• Experience working in high-pressure, fast-paced event environments.
