Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, optimization, and maintenance of mission-critical public safety communication systems, including VHF, UHF, and 700/800 public radio systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance routines and perform advanced troubleshooting on hardware and software.
• Provide high-level technical support for complex RF and Broadband architectures and essential network infrastructure.
• Program, configure, and test specialized communications systems, including P25 radio systems and NICE public safety logging systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to design and implement advanced communication solutions.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and submit comprehensive weekly reports on system performance and activities.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree, EET, or equivalent Technical/Military Certification.
• Must obtain CET certification within 6 months of hire.
• Proven knowledge of RF systems, including transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
• Proficiency in P25 radio systems and trunking/SmartZone systems.
• Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN and computer network installation/configuration.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
• Ability to be on-call 24/7/365 to support essential public safety services.
• Must reside in Washington or Oregon to support the Pacific Northwest territory.

Preferred Qualifications

• FCC License or industry certifications such as ETA.
• CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certifications.
• Experience with Motorola consoles (MCC7500, MCC7500e, AXS).
• Experience with LMR RF systems and NICE public safety loggers.
