Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a job-site leader in health and safety, participating in safety reviews and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) preparation.
• Assist in the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and field surveying to support work layout.
• Manage contract administration, including project reporting, RFIs, and maintaining daily project records.
• Coordinate work groups, order material deliveries, and supervise field operations and subcontractors.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and estimating through data analysis and historical review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of construction field experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans and contract documents.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to various project sites across the US.
• Ability to work in diverse outdoor climates and environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on light or high-speed rail projects.
• Broad understanding of technical electrical systems.
• Previous experience in engineering leadership roles.
