About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a job-site leader in health and safety, participating in safety reviews and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) preparation.
- Assist in the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications for field crews.
- Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and field surveying to support work layout.
- Manage contract administration, including project reporting, RFIs, and maintaining daily project records.
- Coordinate work groups, order material deliveries, and supervise field operations and subcontractors.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and estimating through data analysis and historical review.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of construction field experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans and contract documents.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to various project sites across the US.
- Ability to work in diverse outdoor climates and environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on light or high-speed rail projects.
- Broad understanding of technical electrical systems.
- Previous experience in engineering leadership roles.
