About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
  • Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and basic engineering calculations
  • Support field surveying, work layout, and the compilation of as-built data
  • Assist in the preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
  • Order and schedule material deliveries and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
  • Maintain project records including daily reports, photographs, RFIs, and correspondence
  • Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training
  • Support estimating efforts by reviewing historical data and performing quantity takeoffs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in heavy civil or industrial construction (Power, Bridge, Road, or Aviation)
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, CPM, unit man-hour performance, and material control
  • Ability to read and analyze engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook)
  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate to various project sites within the Rocky Mountain region

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with self-perform construction operations
  • Proven experience working directly with craft, foremen, and superintendents in the field
