Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and basic engineering calculations
• Support field surveying, work layout, and the compilation of as-built data
• Assist in the preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
• Help maintain project records, including daily reports, RFIs, and correspondence
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training
• Support the estimating unit through quantity takeoffs and historical data analysis
• Coordinate material deliveries and supervise subcontractor operations on-site

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Willingness to travel and relocate based on project needs and business requirements
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work in various climates and access all points of a construction site
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work rotating schedules, shift work, or weekends as required by projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects
