Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Perform quantity calculations, measurements, and determine percentage of completed materials
• Assist in the preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
• Support field surveying and work layout, including elevation and as-built data compilation
• Supervise field operations and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
• Order and schedule material deliveries
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training
• Assist in providing technical solutions related to underground tunneling and construction operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mining, Mechanical, Geotechnical, or Construction Management engineering
• 2+ years of experience in construction or engineering, preferably in underground, HDD, tunneling, or earthwork
• Proven experience in leadership, people management, and project organization
• Willingness to travel and relocate nationally as business needs require
• Ability to work in various climates and environments, including rotating schedules or shift work
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically within the underground construction or trenchless methods industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with diverse teams
