About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Perform quantity calculations, measurements, and determine percentage of completed materials
- Assist in the preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
- Support field surveying and work layout, including elevation and as-built data compilation
- Supervise field operations and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
- Order and schedule material deliveries
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training
- Assist in providing technical solutions related to underground tunneling and construction operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mining, Mechanical, Geotechnical, or Construction Management engineering
- 2+ years of experience in construction or engineering, preferably in underground, HDD, tunneling, or earthwork
- Proven experience in leadership, people management, and project organization
- Willingness to travel and relocate nationally as business needs require
- Ability to work in various climates and environments, including rotating schedules or shift work
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically within the underground construction or trenchless methods industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with diverse teams
