Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support field operations through drawing interpretation, quantity calculations, and work plan preparation
• Assist in field surveying, work layout support, and the compilation of as-built data
• Perform material takeoffs, basic engineering calculations, and technical drafting
• Maintain project records including daily reports, RFIs, photographs, and correspondence
• Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and participate in safety training and reviews
• Coordinate material deliveries and supervise subcontractor operations on-site
• Support estimating efforts by analyzing historical data and performing plan reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a construction-related engineering field (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Construction Management, Mining, or Geotechnical)
• Willingness to travel and relocate based on project needs across North America
• Ability to work in heavy civil construction environments and various weather conditions
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work rotating schedules, shift work, or weekends as required by project timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship experience in engineering or construction
