About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
  • Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and basic engineering calculations
  • Support field surveying, work layout, and the compilation of as-built data
  • Prepare work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
  • Supervise field operations and subcontractor activities
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, daily reports, and submittals
  • Assist with schedule maintenance, material deliveries, and job cost data entry
  • Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • 2+ years of construction field experience
  • Proven experience in engineering and leading other engineers
  • Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans and contract documents
  • Ability to travel and relocate as needed based on project locations
  • Ability to work in various outdoor climates and construction site environments
