Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in field surveying, work layout, and the compilation of as-built data
• Perform quantity calculations and material takeoffs from drawings and specifications
• Support field crews with the interpretation of drawings and technical specifications
• Assist in the preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
• Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations
• Maintain project records including daily reports, photographs, and RFIs
• Assist in the preparation of purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training
• Coordinate material deliveries and supervise subcontractor operations on-site

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a construction-related engineering field (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Construction Management, Mining, or Geotechnical)
• Willingness to travel and relocate to various locations as business requires
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Ability to work in various climates and access all points of a construction site
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work rotating schedules, shift work, or weekends as required by projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship experience in engineering or construction
