About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in field surveying, work layout, and the compilation of as-built data
- Perform quantity calculations and material takeoffs from drawings and specifications
- Support field crews with the interpretation of drawings and technical specifications
- Assist in the preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
- Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations
- Maintain project records including daily reports, photographs, and RFIs
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training
- Coordinate material deliveries and supervise subcontractor operations on-site
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a construction-related engineering field (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Construction Management, Mining, or Geotechnical)
- Willingness to travel and relocate to various locations as business requires
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in various climates and access all points of a construction site
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating schedules, shift work, or weekends as required by projects
