About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
  • Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and basic engineering calculations
  • Support field surveying and work layout, including elevation and control points
  • Assist in the preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
  • Maintain project records including daily reports, photographs, RFIs, and as-built data
  • Coordinate material deliveries and supervise field operations or subcontractor activities
  • Support the estimating unit through quantity takeoffs and historical data analysis

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (e.g., mechanical, mining, geotechnical)
  • Willingness to travel and relocate nationally as business requires
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work rotating schedules, shift work, or weekends as required by projects
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in various outdoor climates and construction environments

  • Previous internship experience in construction or engineering
