Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site deployments by managing the installation and commissioning of small-scale robotic cells
• Ensure system reliability through proactive monitoring and rapid root-cause analysis of hardware and software issues
• Bridge the feedback loop by communicating technical challenges and site-specific edge cases to the core engineering team
• Act as a technical mentor for customer operators, conducting training sessions to empower them to operate the technology

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in reading and navigating C++ and Python codebases
• Foundational understanding of industrial machinery, including robotic kinematics, sensors, and safety protocols
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to partner facilities, including extended multi-week trips

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux environments and command-line troubleshooting
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols and hardware integration (sensors, grippers, and safety controllers)
• Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role within the automotive, electronics, or logistics sectors
• Knowledge of ROS/ROS 2 and experience with containerized deployments like Docker or Kubernetes
