Field Engineer - Heavy Civil (Water Treatment)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Perform quantity inspections by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed materials
• Assist in the preparation of work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
• Support field surveying and work layout, including elevation and as-built data compilation
• Order and schedule material deliveries and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
• Supervise field operations and participate in jobsite safety reviews and training

Requirements

• 2+ years of construction field experience, preferably in Heavy Civil (roadway, concrete, earthworks, water, or wastewater)
• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans and contract documents
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in various climates and environments across a construction site
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required to meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in engineering roles and leading other engineers
• Previous experience specifically within the water or wastewater market
