Field Engineer/Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise subcontractor operations on-site to ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols
• Lead field inspections, safety audits, and routine site walkthroughs
• Manage coordination of materials, workflow logistics, and site organization
• Develop and manage detailed work packages in cooperation with engineering and construction departments
• Maintain project schedules, monitor financial budgets, and control project scope
• Oversee project documentation including design specs, as-built records, and turnover reports
• Review plans and specifications to identify technical risks
• Support commissioning phases and manage the resolution of punch-list items
• Track departmental expenses and assist with budget forecasting

Requirements

• Technical degree in mechanical, electrical, structural, or piping disciplines (or equivalent professional experience)
• 3+ years of experience in project coordination or field supervision
• Experience within the industrial construction or energy sectors
• Strong organizational and communication skills for managing multiple priorities
• Willingness to travel or relocate for fly-in/fly-out rotations across Western Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project execution methodologies and scheduling software
• Proficiency in cost control procedures
