Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Commission and validate hybrid energy systems, including microgrids and storage solutions, at project sites.
• Support project delivery from execution through post-commissioning, operations, and maintenance.
• Implement electrical, mechanical, and control systems by collaborating with customers, utilities, and project partners.
• Perform testing, maintenance, and operational procedures for equipment and hybrid systems.
• Coordinate construction, installation, and documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
• Provide technical support for sustaining engineering and train field technicians on AMSS products.
• Travel 50% or more to support business needs and project sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an ABET-accredited Engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, or similar).
• 2+ years of field experience in mechanical or electrical systems.
• 1+ year of field experience specifically in hybrid energy systems (PV, Gas, Diesel, BESS, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) and related components.
• Proven experience in electrical safety and hazard awareness.
• Valid local driving license.
• Ability to travel 50%+ of the time.
