Field Engineer 3

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily field engineering activities on water and heavy civil infrastructure projects
• Provide technical guidance to field teams and ensure adherence to engineering standards and contract specifications
• Coordinate with Superintendents to align engineering support with construction sequencing and priorities
• Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, and progress tracking tools
• Manage construction documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Mentor and manage junior field engineers, assigning tasks and reviewing performance
• Collaborate with estimating teams to provide technical input, constructability reviews, and value engineering suggestions during bid development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in field engineering, preferably in transportation or heavy civil infrastructure
• Proficiency in construction software such as Primavera, Procore, or Bluebeam
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving capabilities
• Deep understanding of construction contracts, project controls, and cost management
• Ability to travel and relocate as frequently as business needs require
