About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote support for product installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Support the assembly, integration, and testing of products in-lab and in-field
  • Create and maintain high-quality documentation including SOPs, user manuals, and training materials
  • Solve engineering problems to enable integration across diverse customer platforms and workflows
  • Undertake flight test readiness activities and UAV build/integration
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to configure and deploy products for testing

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience working with Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems
  • Hands-on experience with UAV build, integration, and testing
  • Experience as part of a flight test team
  • Practical experience with flight controllers, sensors, autopilot systems, and payload integration
  • Familiarity with ArduPilot and/or PX4-based flight control systems
  • Ability to travel 25–50% within the UK and internationally
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearances

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Linux troubleshooting and basic scripting
  • Background in aerospace, defence, or service environments (e.g., RAF, Royal Navy)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled navigation or flight simulation software
  • Programming experience in Python and C++
  • Experience with electronic/mechanical diagnostic equipment
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or Aerospace Engineering
