Field Deployment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end field deployment of product lines at customer sites, leading system integrations from initial setup through steady-state operations
• Partner with customer operations leadership and frontline teams to establish clear roles, decision paths, and operating procedures
• Drive safe operational readiness by translating safety philosophy into site procedures, training, and go/no-go criteria
• Act as the primary technical escalation point on-site to triage issues, collect telemetry, and prioritize fixes with the engineering team
• Monitor deployment health and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement with customers and internal leadership

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting technology deployed on heavy equipment, construction machinery, mining trucks, or similar off-road vehicles
• Prior experience working within the mining or construction industry
• Hands-on experience with field installations, including wiring harnesses, sensors, ECUs, and power systems
• Experience deploying and supporting software systems in production or customer environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, electrical, and networking domains
• Ability to work independently in active construction or industrial environments and make sound technical decisions
• Willingness to travel and be based on-site at various customer locations for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, or related technical fields
• Prior experience in autonomous vehicle development domains
• Familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, vehicle diagnostics, and logging tools
• Experience working with Linux-based systems in the field
