Field Deploy Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the hardware deployment plan for new sites, aligning timelines, scope, and resources
• Coordinate with logistics, supply chain, and network teams for GPU server delivery
• Supervise racking, cabling, and powering of hardware equipment
• Ensure configuration, firmware upgrades, and integration follow standards
• Conduct functional checks, acceptance tests, and troubleshooting
• Document installation steps, asset data, and lessons learned
• Act as the single point of contact on site for deployment activities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data center, hardware, or IT field delivery roles
• Strong knowledge of server, storage, and network installation (racking, cabling, power, cooling)
• Hands-on experience with server hardware and Linux troubleshooting
• Ability to perform deep diagnostics across hardware, firmware (BIOS/BMC), and Linux
• Ability to read technical documentation, layouts, and wiring diagrams
• Willingness to travel frequently

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with GPU server platforms and tooling (nvidia-smi, dcgmi)
• Experience with Redfish and BMC tooling (ipmitool/Redfish)
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python
• Exposure to OCP-based platforms and ODM manufacturing ecosystems
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in datacenter settings
