Field Automation Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Design BAS and EPMS system architecture and define programming standards
• Develop advanced PLC and BAS programming for complex mechanical and electrical systems
• Plan and lead integrated systems testing (IST) with commissioning agents
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for engineering and field teams
• Review and approve programming deliverables and commissioning records
• Coordinate with commissioning agents, project managers, and owner representatives
• Mentor and develop Field Automation Engineer I and II personnel

Requirements

• 5+ years of BAS, EPMS, or automation engineering experience
• 2+ years on mission-critical data center projects
• Advanced proficiency in BAS programming (Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Siemens, or equivalent)
• Expert-level Rockwell ControlLogix / CompactLogix PLC programming
• Deep understanding of redundant data center infrastructure (UPS, STS, CRAH, chillers, EPMS)
• Strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, SNMP, and OPC protocols
• OSHA-30 certification
