Field Applications Scientist, Upstream

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre- and post-sales support for XCell ATF systems, Spectrum Hollow Fiber, TFDF Technology, and KrosFlo TFF System product lines
• Respond to customer technical requests, perform product demonstrations, and provide on-site or in-lab troubleshooting
• Develop and execute project plans to meet customer needs using Repligen technologies
• Support customers through the clinical pipeline, moving from lab-scale to large-scale solutions for continuous and intensified upstream processes
• Collaborate with sales, product management, R&D, and marketing to provide customer feedback for product improvement
• Draft detailed technical reports and contribute to the generation of application data and marketing collateral
• Present technical posters and seminars at industry trade shows and conferences
• Coordinate resource allocation and develop training materials for team members and business partners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific field (biology/biochemistry) or engineering (chemical)
• 6+ years of upstream process experience within the biopharmaceutical industry
• Working knowledge of scale-up/scale-down, technology transfer, and cGMP requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of continuous and intensified cell culture at large scale
• Knowledge of perfusion and intensified processes for various bioproducts, including mAbs, vaccines, or gene therapy
• Direct experience in upstream cell culture applications
